Ingredients
Chicken of the Woods mushrooms – 2 cups
cleaned and sliced
Butter or olive oil – 2 tbsp
Garlic – 2 cloves
minced
Salt – ½ tsp
or to taste
Black pepper – ¼ tsp
Paprika – ½ tsp
optional
Fresh thyme or parsley – 1 tbsp
chopped (for garnish)
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
for brightness, optional
Instructions
Prep the mushrooms – Clean and slice the Chicken of the Woods mushrooms.
Heat the pan – Melt butter or heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Sauté garlic – Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Cook mushrooms – Add mushrooms, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
Finish and serve – Sprinkle with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lemon juice. Serve warm.
