  • 2 cups all-purpose flour plus extra for dusting
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil optional, for elasticity
  • Optional Natural Colors:
  • ¼ cup beet puree pink
  • ¼ cup spinach puree green
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste red
  • Equipment
  • Rolling pin or pasta roller
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutters

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Dough:
  • Mix flour, eggs, and salt on a clean surface. Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth. Rest for 30 minutes.
  • Roll Out Dough:
  • Divide the dough, roll out thinly, and use heart-shaped cutters. Add puree while kneading if using natural colors.
  • Cook the Pasta:
  • Boil salted water. Cook pasta for 2–4 minutes until tender. Drain and serve.
