In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt.
Cut in the Crisco shortening using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs.
Gradually add cold water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing gently with a fork until the dough holds together.
Divide the dough into two balls, flatten slightly into discs, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough to fit your pie dish (about 1/8 inch thick).
Place the dough into the pie dish, trim edges, and crimp as desired.
If pre-baking, prick the bottom with a fork and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes or until golden.
