Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream or dairy-free alternative
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan or Pecorino Romano
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil rigatoni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Sauté Aromatics: In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  • Cook the Meat: Add ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  • Make the Sauce: Stir in tomato sauce, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Combine & Finish: Add cooked pasta and grated cheese. Stir well to coat.
  • Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and enjoy!
