- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream or dairy-free alternative
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes optional
- ½ cup grated Parmesan or Pecorino Romano
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Cook the Pasta: Boil rigatoni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
