Ingredients
  

  • Cake:
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • Frosting:
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3-4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Red & blue gel food coloring
  • Decoration:
  • Black gel icing
  • White fondant or candy eyes

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Batter:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix dry ingredients separately, then alternate adding them with milk.
  • Bake in two 8-inch pans for 25-30 mins. Cool completely.
  • Make Frosting:
  • Beat butter until creamy, add powdered sugar gradually.
  • Adjust consistency with milk, then color half red and half blue.
  • Assemble:
  • Frost one layer with red frosting, place the second layer on top, then frost the entire cake.
  • Decorate:
  • Pipe black icing to create a web pattern.
  • Add white fondant or candy eyes.
